How we scope, and what it costs

We do not publish a rate card, because hours are not what you are buying. We publish how the number is arrived at, what moves it, and what the fixed price excludes.

Quick answer

How much does a Salesforce implementation cost?

CodeSierra prices implementations as a single fixed figure agreed before any build starts, arrived at through a 3–5 day scoping sprint. The number is driven by cloud count, integration count, data quality, how much cannot be configured declaratively, training scale and compliance requirements — not by headcount or hours.

Engagement shapes

Three ways to buy

Most SMB work moves through all three, in this order.

Scoping sprint

A short, standalone engagement that ends in a written scope and a fixed price. Buy it alone if you want the plan without committing to the build.

Fixed feeCredited in full against the build if you proceed
3–5 days
  • AI-assisted requirement capture
  • Object and process model
  • Written scope with exclusions
  • Fixed price for the build
  • Timeline and dependency map
  • Any configuration or code
  • Data migration

Figures are quoted per engagement after scoping. We will tell you the band on the first call rather than after three meetings.

What moves the number

Six things that change the price

If you know these before you talk to any partner, you will get better quotes from all of them.

How many clouds

Sales Cloud alone is a different engagement from Sales plus Service plus a portal. Each cloud adds its own data model, testing surface and training.

How many integrations

The single biggest driver. Two integrations is a project; six is a programme, because each one carries its own contract, error handling and monitoring.

How messy the data is

Volume matters less than quality. A clean 200k-record load is cheaper than a dirty 20k one with three sources of truth.

How much cannot be configured

We reach for clicks first. Every day of Apex is a day priced, so we tell you when a requirement is buying you very little.

How many people need training

Ten users is a session. A hundred across three time zones is a programme with recorded material and a train-the-trainer step.

What compliance demands

Audit trails, consent models and evidence requirements add design and testing time. They are cheaper designed in than retrofitted.

Models

Fixed scope or time and materials

We default to fixed scope for SMB work. When the destination genuinely cannot be described, we say so rather than pricing a guess.

Thirty minutes is usually enough for a band

Bring your current setup, your team size and the thing that is not working. You will leave the call with an indicative range and a view on whether scoping is worth buying.

  • No slide deck, no discovery-call theatre
  • An honest answer if we are the wrong partner
  • A written follow-up the same day
